Policy Circular No. 42(RE-98)/98-99 DT. 7/10/1998 Sub: Import of various items covered under the Heading 48.11 of the ITC (HS) Classification of Import and Exports items Sir, Attention is invited to Ministry of Commerce Notification No.3 RE/98/97-02 dated 13.04.98. Under headings 48.11 and Exim Code 48111000 entries at Column 3 were deleted which were subsequently withdrawn by Notification No.15 RE/98/97-02 dated 17th August 1998. Representations have been received where the facility of imports of large rolls and sheets is Allowed freely for import of various items under heading 48.11 with effec1 from 13.4.98. It has been decided to extend the provisions of Notification No.15 dated 17.8.98 in respect of goods appearing under Heading 48.11 to cover consignments of such goods, which have already shipped/arrived but not cleared so far by the Customs Authorities.
