Amendment in Public Notice No. 26 dated 14.7.1997 and Public Notice No. 59 dated 11.12.1997 (TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART I SECTION I) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 3 (RE-98) /1997-2002 NEW DELHI , DATED, THE 13TH APRIL, 1998 Attention is invited to the Public Notice No. 26/1997-2002, dated 14 th July 1997, wherein the conditions and procedures to be followed in respect of export of sandalwood in the form of heartwood chips, mixed chips, flakes of the sandalwood classes mentioned in Annexure I to the said Public Notice, Sapwood chips/powder and sandalwood dust obtained as waste after the manufacturing process have been specified. Attention is also invited to the Public Notice No. 59/1997-2002 dated 11 th December 1997, wherein the conditions and procedures to be followed in respect of export of species of Exotic birds as mentioned in Annexure I to the said Public Notice have been specified. 2. The Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the above referred Public Notice No. 26/1997-2002 dated 14 th July 1997 and Public Notice No. 59/1997-2002 dated 11 th December 1997:- (i) The date of 31 st March 1998 appearing in Paragraph 8 of Public Notice No. 26/1997-2002 dated 14 th July 1997 amended vide Public Notice No. 65/1997-2002 dated 12 th January 1998 shall be further amended to read as 31 st October 1998. (ii) The date of 31 st March 1998 appearing in Paragraph 7 of Public Notice No. 59/1997-2002 dated 11 th December 1997 shall be amended to read as 30th June 1998. 3. All other conditions of the above referred Public Notice No. 26/1997-2002 and Public Notice No. 59/1997-2002 dt. 11 th December 1997 shall remain unchanged. 4. This issues in public interest. (N.L.
