Enhancement in issuing of refunds through Electronic Clearing Scheme -b regarding- OLTAS INSTRUCTION NO. 25, Dated: 05.06.2006 Board has decided that refunds of any amount including major head 'Corporation Tax' in addition to 'Income-tax' may be given through Electronic Clearing Scheme (ECS). Accordingly the ECS procedure has been enhanced. 2. It is requested that suitable instruction may be issued to the concerned officials to carry out the steps mentioned below : (i) Take two sets of full backup. Make sure that no user is working at the time of execution of the instruction. (ii) Download and execute the patch from 128.91.16.155 m/c (directory /home/oth/exe/oltas_inst_25, user/password : oth/tin#oth). The patch OLTS1R27.fmx is for the enhancement of ECS. .An index on ts_clean_challan I_01_CLEAN_CHALLAN is also being altered in this patch. (iii) Copy the other executables in the file server where other executables have been stored. Files with same name should be renamed/backed up. 3. It may please be noted that this patch should be executed when no dba_job is running and users are not working on oltas. Feed back may please be given latest by 15.06.06, whether the OLTAS Instruction No. 25 has been implemented or not. This Instruction has to be implemented by all computer centres. It may please be ensured that all the OLTAS Instructions issued before i.e. from OLTAS Instructions No. 24 has been implemented before this Instruction is implemented. 4. It may kindly be noted that although ECS facilities for Income tax refunds is only available at 12 cities, viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Nagpur, Patna, Trivandrum nevertheless all RCC's have to implement this instruction.
