Liability under Sec.194A - Income Tax - 1370/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1370/CBDT Dated: December 22, 1980 Reference is invited to Boards Instruction No.1215(F.NO.385/61/78-ITB) dated 8th November 1978 on the above subject. The matter has since been reconsidered in consultation with the Ministry of Law in the context of various representations received in the Board seeking clarification as to exactly when liability under sec.194A accrues and a public circular has since been issued on 22nd December 1980 from Boards F.No.275/46/79-ITB). Board's Instruction No.1215 dated 8-11-78 may therefore be treated as withdrawn.
