As per section 3(g) of the General Insaurance Business (Nationalisation) Act 1972, In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- General insurance business shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Insurance Act 1938 ; As per section 2(6B) of the Insurance Act, 1938- General insurance business means- fire, marine or miscellaneous insurance business, whether carried on singly or in combination with one or more of them;
