International Financial Services Centre - Indian Laws - General

As per clause (q) of section 2 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. International Financial Services Centre means- an International Financial Services Centre which has been approved by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 18 As pe r sub-section (1) of section 18 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. (1) The Central Government may approve the setting up of an International Financial Services Centre in a Special Economic Zone and prescribe the requirements for setting up and operation of such Centre: Provided that the Central Government shall approve only one International Financial Services Centre in a Special Economic Zone.
