Notification u/s 35AC - Notified at serial number 34, "Rural Development Project in 41 villages in Pune, Maharashtra" by Srinivasan Services Trust, Jayalakshmi Estates, No. 29 (Old No. 8), Haddows Road, Chennai - 600 006 - 66/2013 - S.O. 3184(E) - Income Tax

NOTIFICATION NO. 66/2013 DATED 17-10-2013 S.O. 3184(E) - Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number S.O. 2366(E), dated 4th October, 2012 , issued under clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961 ), the Central Government had notified at serial number 34, "Rural Development Project in 41 villages in Pune, Maharashtra" by Srinivasan Services Trust, Jayalakshmi Estates, No. 29 (Old No. 8), Haddows Road, Chennai - 600 006, Tamil Nadu", as an eligible project or scheme for a period of three years at the estimated cost of 1.50 crore ending with financial year 2014-15. And whereas the said trust has requested for change in title of the project from 'Rural Development Project in 41 villages in Pune, Maharashtra' to 'Rural Development Project in villages of Khed, Ambegaon and Shirur Blocks of Pune district, Maharashtra'; And whereas the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, being satisfied that the said project or scheme is being executed properly, made a further recommendation under sub-rule (5) of rule 11M of the Income-tax Rules, 1962 for change in title from 'Rural Development Project in 41 villages in Pune, Maharashtra' to 'Rural Development Project in villages of Khed, Ambegaon and Shirur Blocks of Pune district, Maharashtra'; Now, therefore, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961 ), hereby amends the said notification number S.O. 2366(E), dated 4th October, 2012, to the following effect, namely: In the said notification, in the Table against serial number 34, in column (3), relating to project title, for the letters, figures and words "Rural Development Project in 41 villages in Pune Maharashtra", the letters, figures and words "Rural Development Project in villages of Khed' Ambegaon and Shirur Blocks of Pune district, Maharashtra" shall be substituted.
