MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION dated 01 August 2006 S.O. 1232 (E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 and after the grant of the letter of approval, under Sub-section (10) of Section 3 to M/s, Biocon Limited for setting up of a Special Economic Zone for Biotechnology, on 9th June, 2006, the Central Government on being satisfied that the requirements under Sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled, hereby notifies the following area, at Bommasandra-Jigani Link Road Industrial Area, Anekal Taluk, Bangalore District in the State of Karnataka, comprising of the survey and plot numbers and the area given in the Table below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely;- Table Sr.No. Survey numbers Plot Numbers Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) 1. 61, 62, 65(P), 66(P), 67(P), 68(P), 70(P), 71(P), 72(P), 73(P) and 74(P) of Yarandahalli Village, Jigani Hobli, Anekal Taluk, Bangalore District.
