To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for non-conventional energy including solar energy equipment/cell at Kanksa, Panagarh, District Burdwan in the State of West Bengal - S.O. 440(E) - Special Economic ZoneExtract [TO BE PUBLISHED IN PART II, SECTION 3 SUB SECTION (ii) OF THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry Department of Commerce New Delhi, 10th February, 2008. NOTIFICATION S.O. 440(E).- Whereas M/s Enfield Energy Limited, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for non-conventional energy including solar energy equipment/cell at Kanksa, Panagarh, District Burdwan in the State of West Bengal; And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under subsection (8) of section 3 of the said Act , and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval on 26th June 2008 under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the said Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for non-conventional energy including solar energy equipment/cell at Kanksa, Panagarh, District Burdwan in the State of West Bengal; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economiz Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Kanksa, Panagarh, District Burdwan in the State of West Bengal, comprising the survey numbers and the area given in the table below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: - TABLE Sl.
