To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Free Trade and Warehousing Zone at Village Sai, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad in the State of Maharashtra. - S. O. 2439 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi. the 27th October, 2011 S. O. 2439 (E) - Whereas, M/s. Arshiya International Limited, a private organisation in the State of Maharashtra, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Free Trade and Warehousing Zone at Village Sai, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad in the State of Maharashtra; And, whereas, the Central Government was satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it had granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the said Act for an area of 68 hectares for development, operation and maintenance of the above sector specific Special Economic Zone on the 27th February, 2009; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, had notified the area of 45.76 hectares and 6.985 hectares and 0.890 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1158(E), dated 4th May, 2009 , S.O. 757(E), dated 5th April, 2010 and S.O. 1800(E), dated 22nd July, 2010 respectively; And whereas, M/s. Arshiya International Limited has now proposed to include an area of 3.410 hectares in above Special Economic Zone; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies an area of 3.410 hectares as part of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making total area of the Special Economic Zone as 57.045 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, namely:- Table for Additional Area Serial No. Name of the village Survey/Hissa Number Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) 1.
