Central Government considers it necessary with a view to ascertain which ancillary and small scale industrial undertakings need supportive meas - S.O. 563 (E). - Indian LawExtract MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27th February. 2009 S.O. 563 (E).- Whereas, the Central Government considers it necessary with a view to ascertain which ancillary and small scale industrial undertakings need supportive measures, exemption or other favourable treatment under the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to enable them to maintain their viability and strength so as to be effective in promoting in a harmonious manner the industrial economy of the country and easing the problem of unemployment; And whereas. the Central Government considers it necessary to rescind the Order of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Industry. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, published vide number S.O. 857(E). dated the 10th December. 1997 for the above-said purpose: And whereas, a copy of the said rescinding draft notification was laid before each House of Parliament fora period of thirty days as required under sub-section (3) of Section 1 18 of the said Act; And whereas, no modification in the proposed modification has been suggested by both the Houses of Parliament: Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 11B and sub-section (1) of Section 29B of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act. 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government. on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Industry, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. published vide number S.O.857(E). dated the 10th December, 1997, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission. 2. S.O. 1288 (E), dated the 24th December. 1999; 2. S.O. 1013(E), dated the 9th October, 2001; 3. S.O. 655(E), dated the 5th June. 2003; 4. S.O. 1109(E), dated the 13th October, 2004;and 5. S.O.229(E), dated the 21st February. 2006.
