Amendment to Benami Transaction (Prohibition) Act, 1988 shall come into force w.e.f. 1.11.2016 - 98/2016 - Income Tax

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 98/2016 New Delhi, the 25th October, 2016 S.O. 3289(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Benami Transaction (Prohibition) Amendment Act, 2016 (43 of 2016), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of November, 2016 as the date on which provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
