Central Government rescinds Notification Number S. O. 1216(E), dated 25.07.2007 - S.O. 2008(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th June, 2017 S.O. 2008(E). -WHEREAS, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Electronics hardware at Maheshwaram Village and Mandal, Ranga Reddy District in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, had notified an area of 111 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S. O. 1216(E), dated 25.07.2007 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Telangana State Industrial Infrastucture Corporation Limited has now proposed to de-notify entire area of 111 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given its No Objection to the proposal vide letter No. Lr. No.430/ITE C/Prom/2014, dated 04th August, 2016. AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 111 Hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
