MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 4th May, 2018 S.O. 1859(E).- Whereas, M/s. Span Ventures Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled service at KPM Nagar, Rathinam Software Park, Village Kurichi, Eachanari, District Coimbatore in the State of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified and de-notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below:- S.No. Notification No. Date Notified Area in Hectares De-notified area in hectares Total Area in Hectares (i) S.O. 1118 (E) 10.07.2007 10.49 - 10.49 (ii) S.O. 1981 (E) 28.08.2012 4.36 1.38 13.47 AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Span Ventures Private Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 10.535 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 10722/MIE.2/2015-10 dated 05.02.2018; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Madras Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 10.535 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 10.535 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 2.935 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely:- TABLE FOR DE-NOTIFICAITON AREA Sl.
