Central Government de-notifies an area of 1.22 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 1.715 hectares at KPM Nagar, Rathinam Software Park, Kurichi Village, Eachanari, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu - S.O. 4015(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ SECTION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th September, 2024 S.O. 4015(E). Whereas, M/s. Span Ventures Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services, at KPM Nagar, Rathinam Software Park, Kurichi Village, Eachanari, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified and de-notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table: - Sl. Span Ventures Private Limited has now proposed for de- notification of 1.22 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.2479/MIE-2/2021-3 dated 27th September, 2021. Further, after de-notification, the de-notified land parcel would be utilized towards creation of infrastructure which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged. Post de-notification, use of such land parcels will conform to land use guidelines/master plans of the Government of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 1.22 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.22 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 1.715 hectares.
