Central Government constitutes the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare - S.O. 5(E) - Income Tax

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd January, 1992 INCOME-TAX S.O. 5(E) : In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), read with rule 11G of the Income-tax Rules, 1962 , the Central Government hereby constitutes the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare and appoints the following as Members of the Committee for a period of three years:- 1. Justice P.N. Bhagwati Former Chief justice of India Chairman 2. Shri Ram Krishna Bajaj Noted Industrialist, engaged in Rural Development Member 3. Shri R.N. Malhotra Former Governor, Reserve Bank of India Member 4. Smt. Illa Bhatt Former Member, Planning Commission, Sewa, Ahmedabad. Member 5. Dr. M.S. Nwaminathan Former Member, Planning Commission and Agricultural Scientist Member 6. Dr. A.S. Kalhon Ex-Vice Chancellor and noted Agricultural Economist Member 7. Dr. C. Hanumanth Rao Former Member, Planning Commission and noted Economist Member 8. Shri V. Padmanabhan Scientist, Member, K.V.I.C, Managing Trustee, Gandhigram Dist. Madurai Member 9.
