MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) (Capital Market Division) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th July, 1997 G.S.R. 424(E):- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15L read with section 15N of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Central Government hereby appoints Shri C Achuthan, Joint Secretary and Legal Adviser in the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, as Presiding Officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of 65 (sixty five) years, whichever is earlier.
