No. R-40007/6/ Reg-Meeting/Noti/2021-CCI - Competition LawExtract THE COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd March, 2021 The Competition Commission of India (Meeting for Transaction of Business) Amendment Regulations, 2021 (No. 2 of 2021) F. No. R-40007/6/ Reg-Meeting/Noti/2021-CCI .-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 64 read with sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Competition Commission of India hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Competition Commission of India (Meeting for Transaction of Business) Regulations, 2009 , namely: 1. (1) These regulations may be called the Competition Commission of India (Meeting for Transaction of Business) Amendment Regulations, 2021. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Competition Commission of India (Meeting for Transaction of Business) Regulations, 2009 , after regulation 3 , the following regulation shall be inserted, namely: - 3A. Coram for meetings of Commission- (1) Subject to the provisions of Section 22 of the Act, the Commission shall set down cases for final hearing after completion of pleadings and during such hearings, coram of the Commission would remain constant and such coram alone would continue to hear and participate in all subsequent proceedings on all hearing dates and would write the final orders. (2) If it becomes impossible to continue the hearings with the same coram, for any reason whatsoever, the matter would be heard afresh with new coram. S. GHOSH DASTIDAR, Secy.
