Seeks to rescinds Notification No. S.O. 882(E) dated 24th March, 2014 - de-notification of entire area of 25.69 Hectares of the SEZ - Proposed SEZ for Agro and Food Processing Products (formerly Engineering Sector) at Villages Bhigan and Kurar Ibrahimpur, Near Murthal, District Sonepat in the State of Haryana; - S.O. 1013 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd March, 2022 S.O. 1013(E). -WHEREAS, M/s. Ansal Colours Engineering SEZ Limited (formerly M/s. Ansal Kamdhenu Engineering SEZ Limited) had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Agro and Food Processing Products (formerly Engineering Sector) at Villages Bhigan and Kurar Ibrahimpur, Near Murthal, District Sonepat in the State of Haryana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 101.24 hectares and de-notified an area of 75.55 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O. 1626 (E) dated 7th July, 2008 and S.O. 882(E) dated 24th March, 2014 , respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Ansal Colours Engineering SEZ Limited has now proposed to de-notify entire area of 25.69 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Haryana has given No Objection Certificate to the proposal vide Memo No. SEZ/Ansal Colours/Part-2/5305-A dated 31st May, 2021 subject to the condition that the SEZ Developer shall follow the land use guidelines/master plan of the Town and County Planning Department, Haryana and land parcels would be utilized toward creation of infrastructure which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 25.69 Hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
