Central Government de-notifies an area of 1.7782 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 15.6508 hectares at IT/ITES SEZ at Ramapuram, Chennai in the State of Tamil Nadu - S.O. 5320 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ DIVISION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th December, 2023 S.O. 5320(E). Whereas, M/s. DLF Info City Chennai Limited (formerly M/s. DLF Home Developers Limited and M/s. DLF Info City Chennai Limited), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at IT/ITES SEZ at Ramapuram, Chennai in the State of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table: - Sl. DLF Info City Chennai Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 1.7782 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.4312377/MIB.1/2023-2 dated 4th July, 2023. Further, Such land parcels after de-notification will conform to land use guidelines/master plans of the Government of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Madras Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 1.7782 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.7782 hectares , thereby making resultant area as 15.6508 hectares .
