Central Government de-notifies an area of 0.66 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 11.32 hectares at Magarpatta City, Village Hadapsar, District Pune, in the State of Maharashtra - S.O. 2767(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) (SEZ Section) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th July, 2024 S.O. 2767(E) . Whereas, M/s. Magarpatta Township Development and Construction Company Ltd., a private organisation, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up an Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (including Electronic Hardware and Software) Special Economic Zone at Magarpatta City, Village Hadapsar, District Pune, in the State of Maharashtra; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006 , had notified an area of 11.98 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1186(E) dated 20 th July, 2007 ; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Magarpatta Township Development and Construction Company Ltd. has now proposed for de-notification of 0.66 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. SEZ-2023/C.R.26/Ind-2 dated 9th October, 2023; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ SEZ has recommended the proposal for denotification of an area of 0.66 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.66 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 11.32 hectares.
