Money credit - Amendment to Notification No. 45/89-C.E. (N.T.)

Notification No. 29/91-C.E. (N.T.)

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 57K of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 the Central Government, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 45/89-Central Excises (N.T.), dated the 11th October, 1989, namely, -

In the said notification, -

(i) for condition (i), the following condition shall be substituted, namely :-

"(i) the credit shall be taken only in respect of quantity of oil or fat, as the case may be, subjected to -

(a) hydrogenation for the manufacture of vanaspati and bakery shortening; or

(b) blending or emulsification for the manufacture of margarine

and such credit shall be taken only on the date on which the oil or fat, as the case may be, has been so hydrogenated, blended or emulsified;"; and

(ii) in condition (iii), for the words "vegetable products or margarine, as the case may be", the words "the said final products" shall be substituted.
