Polyester filament yarn - Dyed, bleached or mercerised - Exempted Notification No. 110/95-C.E. Dated 31-8-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts polyester filament yarn, dyed, printed, bleached or mercerised, and falling within heading No. 54.02 of the Schedule to the Central Excise and Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986), from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule : Provided that the said yarn is manufactured out of textured or draw-twisted polyester filament yarn falling within heading No. 54.02 of the said Schedule on which the appropriate duty of excise under the said Schedule, or as the case may be, the additional duty leviable under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), has already been paid.
