Jute Yarn - Amendment to Notification No. 51/90-C.E. Notification No. 163/90-C.E. Dated 17-12-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 51/90-Central Excises, dated the 20th March, 1990, namely:- In the said notification,- (a) in the opening paragraph, the word "captively" shall be omitted; (b) after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided further that where such use is in a factory other than the factory of manufacture, the exemption contained in this notification shall be available only if the procedure laid down in Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 is followed".
