In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 44/80-Central Excises, dated the 24th April, 1980, namely :-

In the said notification, in clause (a) of the proviso, for the words, letters and figures "sub-heading No. 5503.11, 5503.12 or 5503.19", the words, letters and figures "sub-heading No. 5401.10 or 5401.20 or heading No. 55.03" shall be substituted.
