Duty Drawback - Change in Rate Notification No. 40/96-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 2-8-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 75 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-rule (2) of rule 5 of the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995, the Central Government hereby makes, with effect from the 25th March, 1996, the following amendment in rates of Drawback specified under sub-serial No. 5702, of the Table annexed to the Public Notice of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. DRAWBACK/PN-5/95, dated the 16th June, 1995, namely :- In the said Table, in Chapter 57, against sub-serial No. 5702, in the columns relating to `Rate of Drawback' and `Allocation', for the entries, the following entries shall respectively be substituted, namely :- "Rate of Drawback Allocation Cus. C. Ex. 7% (Seven per cent only) of f.o.b. value 4.5% 2.5%"
