Customs Airports - Appointment for specified purposes - Amendment to Notification No. 61/94 Notification No. 71/95-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 5-12-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.), dated the 21st November, 1994, namely :- In the said notification :- (a) in the opening portion, for the words "of the Table below", the words "of the Table annexed hereto" shall be substituted; (b) before the Table, the following shall be inserted, namely :- "2. The baggage in tourist chartered flights shall be allowed to be unloaded or loaded at the Airports of Port Blair, Gaya, Srinagar, Indore, Imphal, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Agra and Bagdogra only if the tour operator gives to the Commissioner of Customs incharge of the airport, an advance notice, about the arrival of such chartered flight of a period of seven days or such shorter period as may be permitted by the Commissioner of Customs"; (c) in the Table, - (i) against serial number 3 relating to Bihar, for the entry in the columns (3) and (4), the following shall respectively be substituted, namely :- TABLE (3) (4) "(a) Gaya Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights and the loading of baggage in tourist chartered flights. (b) Patna Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights, goods of Nepalese Origin and baggage imported from Nepal, and loading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights and loading of goods of Indian origin and baggage for export to Nepal."; (ii) against serial number 7 relating to Jammu Kashmir, in column (4), - (1) for item (a), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "(a) (i) Unloading of goods exported from Srinagar and subsequently re-imported; and (ii) Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights"; and (2) in item (b), after sub-item (ix), the following sub-item shall be added, namely :- "(x) baggage of tourist chartered flights"; (iii) after serial number 11 relating to Maharashtra and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "11A Manipur Imphal Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights and the loading of baggage in tourist chartered flights."; (iv) against serial number 14 relating to Rajasthan, in column (4), - (I) in item (a), - (A) for sub-item (ii), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "(ii) re-imported cut polished precious and semi-precious stones."; (B) after sub-item (vi), the following shall be added, namely :- "(vii) baggage brought in tourist chartered flights."; (II) in item (b), - (A) for sub-item (ii), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "(ii) Cubic zirconia and cut-precious, semi- precious and synthetic stones"; (B) after sub-item (xi), the following shall be added, namely :- "(xii) Baggage brought in tourist chartered flights."; (v) against serial number (16) relating to Uttar Pradesh, in column (3), after item (d) and the entry relating thereto in column (4), the following item and entry shall respectively be added, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "(e) Agra Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights and the loading of baggage in tourist chartered flights."; (vi) against serial number (17) relating to West Bengal, in columns (3) and (4), the following shall respectively be substituted, namely :- (3) (4) "(a) Bagdogra Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights and the loading of baggage in tourist chartered flights. (b) Calcutta Unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods."
