Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995 - Amendments Notification No. 64/95-Cus. C. E. (N.T.) Dated 20-10-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 75 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995, notified by the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), vide notification No. 37/95-Customs and Central Excises (N.T.), dated the 26th May, 1995, namely :- In the said rules, in rule 13, - (i) in sub-rule (2), the words "in triplicate" shall be omitted ; (ii) after sub-rule (6), the following shall be inserted, namely :- "(7) where an application has been made for determination of rate of drawback under rule 6 or under rule 7, the manufacturer or exporter may file a claim in the manner prescribed in this rule within three months from the date of receipt of communication regarding determination of drawback under rule 6, or as the case may be, under rule 7."
