To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Village Patia, PS; Chandrasekharpur, Tehsil: Bhubneshwar, District Khurda, in the State of Orissa MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 24th July, 2009 S.O. 1827(E).- Whereas, M/s. DLF Limited, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Village Patia, PS; Chandrasekharpur, Tehsil: Bhubneshwar, District Khurda, in the State of Orissa; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , has notified the total area of 10.239 hectares at Village Patia, PS; Chandrasekharpur, Tehsil: Bhubneshwar, District Khurda, in the State of Orissa as Special Economic Zone in the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No. S.O. 278 (E) dated 7th February, 2008 ; TABLE Sl. DLF Limited has also proposed to de-notify an area of 10.239 hectares at Village Patia, PS: Chandrasekharpur, Tehsil Bhubneshwar, District Khurda, in the Stale of Orissa and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de-notification of 10.239 hectares at Orissa on 5th June, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) dated 7th day of February, 2008 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number S.O. 278(E) dated the 7th February, 2008 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
