Charge nickel/nickel oxide, unwrought nickel and other goods for use in the manufacture of iron and steel - Amendment to Notification No. 12/97-Cus. Notification No. 3/99-Cus. Dated 6-1-1999 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 68 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996 (33 of 1996), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the Public interest to do hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 12/97-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, in the Table, against serial No. 14A, in columnÿ(2), - (a) for the words "for use in the manufacture of steel", the words "for use in the manufacture of iron or steel" shall be substituted; and (b) for item (f), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "(f) Charge nickel/nickel oxide sinter falling under sub-heading No.ÿ7501.20 and unwrought nickel falling under sub-heading No. 7502.20, of the said First Schedule; and"
