Vegetable oils of edible grade, imported for manufacture of `Vanaspati oil' - Amendment to Notification No. 56/98-Cus. Notification No. 84/98-Cus. Dated 2-11-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 56/98-Customs, dated the 1st August, 1998, namely :- In the said notification, in the Table, after serial number 14 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "14A Vegetable oils of edible grade, falling under Chapter 15 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, imported for the manufacture of oil commonly known as "vanaspati", provided the importer follows the procedures set out in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996. Nil."
