Platinum and silver - Imported for plain and studded jewellery for export - Amendment to Notification No. 49/97-Cus. Notification No. 69/98-Cus. Dated 15-9-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 49/97-Customs, dated the 23rd May, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, after the words, figures and brackets "the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), (hereinafter, referred to as the Customs Tariff Act)", the following words and figures shall be inserted, namely :- "platinum and silver falling under Chapter 71 of the Customs Tariff Act".
