Import under EPCG Scheme for manufacture of bio-tech products - Amendment to Notification No. 29/97-Cus. Notification No. 66/98-Cus. Dated 26-8-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 29/97-Customs, dated the 1st April, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, - (1) in the proviso to paragraph 1, in clause (i) for the words "products of horticulture, floriculture and poultry, or", the words "products of horticulture, floriculture, poultry and bio-tech products, or" shall be substituted; (2) in paragraph 2, - (i) in the second proviso to condition (2) for the words and abbreviation, "viticulture, poultry sericulture sectors", the words "viticulture, poultry, sericulture and bio-tech sectors" shall be substituted; (ii) in the first proviso to condition (5), for the words "viticulture, poultry and sericulture sectors", the words "viticulture, poultry, sericulture and bio-tech sectors" shall be substituted.
