Imports for R D Projects - Notification No. 50/96-Cus. - Amended Notification No. 74/96-Cus. Dated 11-9-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 50/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely :- In the said notification, in clause (c), for the words "a certificate from a Deputy Secretary", the words "a certificate from an officer not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary" shall be substituted.
