Additional duty - Notification Nos. 123/95-Cus. and 124/95-Cus. to be Omitted from 1-9-1996 Notification No. 55/96-Cus. Dated 31-7-1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) or sub-item (6) of heading No. 98.01 of the First Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, as the case may be, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 47/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely :- In the proviso to the said notification, for the figures, letters and words "1st day of August, 1996", the figures, letters and words "1st day of September, 1996" shall be substituted.
