Rescinded vide Notification No. 21/97-Cus dated 1-3-1997 Crash Tenders and fire-fighting equipments Notification No. 51/95-Cus. Dated 16-3-1995 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Crash Tenders and similar other appliances for fire fighting operations, with powerful engines of 150 KW brake power and above, capable of attaining speed of 84 KM and above in 45 seconds and falling under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India, from the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said second mentioned Act.
