Exemption to imports for renovation of a fertilizer plant - Amendment to Notification No. 276/92-Cus. Notification No. 177/93-Cus. Dated 22-10-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 276/92-Customs, dated the 23rd September, 1992, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) for the words and brackets "machinery, instruments, apparatus and appliances, components (whether finished or not) or raw materials for the manufacture of aforesaid items and their components,", the words and brackets "goods (hereinafter referred to as the "said goods")" shall be substituted; and (ii) at the end, the following proviso shall be added, namely :- "Provided that the value of spare parts, raw materials (including semi-finished materials) or consumable stores shall not exceed ten per cent of the total value of the said goods.".
