Waste paper and waste paperboard - Amendment to Notification No. 219/84-Cus. Notification No. 162/93-Cus. Dated 20-8-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 219/84-Customs, dated the 10th August, 1984, namely :- In the said notification, for the words "paperboard making from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate of twenty per cent ad valorem :", the following shall be substituted, namely :- "paperboard making - (a) from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of the amount calculated at the rate of twenty per cent. ad valorem; and (b) from the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act:".
