Amendments to Notification Nos. 344/86-Cus. 345/86-Cus. Notification No. 100/91-Cus., Dated 25-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification, after the words "a Joint Director in the Directorate of Industries of the Government of a State", the words "or a Director in the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India" shall be inserted. 2. 345/86-Customs, dated the 16th June, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against Sl. No. 12, in column (4), for the words "Electrolytic Capacitors.", the words "Electrolytic Capacitors, Keypad Switches" shall be substituted; (ii) against Sl. No. 14, in column (4), for the words "Copper clad laminates of glass epoxy type,", the words "Copper clad laminates of glass epoxy/paper epoxy type, Delay lines, Electronic Tuners" shall be substituted; (iii) against Sl. No. 25, in column (4), for the words "Electronic Valves and Tubes.", the words "Electronic Valves and Tubes and Resistors (other than heating resistors)." shall be substituted; (iv) against Sl. No. 37, - (a) for the entry in column (2), the entry "72, 73" shall be substituted; and (b) in column (4), for the words "Hybrid Micro circuits.", the words "Hybrid Micro Circuits, Potentiometers, Resistors (other than heating resistors)." shall be substituted; (v) against Sl. No. 40, in column (4), for the words "Potentiometers.", the words "Potentiometers, Disc covers for electrolytic capacitors." shall be substituted; (vi) against Sl. No. 52, in column (4), for the words "printed components.", the words "printed components, semi-conductor devices" shall be substituted; (vii) against Sl. No. 66, - (a) in column (3), for sub-item (b) of item (i), sub-item "(b) Plain and glass filled nylon/ polyamide with or without additives." shall be substituted; (b) in column (4), for the entry "Potentiometers, Tape Deck Mechanisms", the entry "Potentiometers, Tape Deck Mechanisms, Connectors" shall be substituted; (viii) against Sl. No. 74, in column (4), for the words "switches" the words "switches, connectors" shall be substituted; (ix) against Sl. No. 76, in column (3), - (a) for item (viii), the item "(viii) Copper band, silver plated/solder coated" shall be substituted; (b) after item (ix), the item "(x) Zirconium oxide of purity 99% or above" shall be inserted; (x) against Sl. No. 78, in column (3), after item (ii), the following items shall be inserted, namely :- "(iii) Polyester liner (iv) PVC glue"; (xi) against Sl. No. 84, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Cast Alloy Permanent Magnets, when imported by the manufacturers of such magnets and DC micromotors of voltage rating not exceeding 13.5 V and 20 watts" shall be substituted; (xii) against Sl. No. 88, in column (3), after sub-item (m) under item (viii), the sub-item "(n) Berrylium Oxide" shall be inserted; (xiii) against Sl. No. 98, in column (4), for the words "Potentiometers", the words "Potentiometers, Ceramic Capacitors.", shall be substituted.
