Amendments to Notification No. 116/90-Cus. [Chapter 84] - 094/91 - Customs -TariffExtract Amendments to Notification No. 116/90-Cus. [Chapter 84] Notification No. 94/91-Cus. Dated 25-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 116/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) in clause (i), for the words "not exceeding one year from the date of payment of duty," the words "not exceeding one year from the date of payment of duty on the computer equipments imported under this notification," shall be substituted; (ii) in clause (ii), - (a) for the words "within a period of one year from the date of payment of duty," the words "within a period of one year from the date of payment of duty on the computer equipments imported under this I notification," shall be substituted; and (b) for the words "within the said period of one year," the words "within the said period," shall be substituted; (iii) in the proviso, for the words "within a period of six months from the date of payment of duty," the words "within a period of six months from the date of payment of duty on the computer equipments imported under this notification," shall be substituted; (iv) in the Table annexed thereto, after S. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and the entries shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "3. 85.24 Application software (other than on floppy diskettes) of cif value exceeding Rs. 3 lakhs." (v) after the Table annexed thereto, the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely :- "Explanation. - In this notification, "Application software" means software imported on a date subsequent to the date of import of computer equipments alongwith its accompanying software under this notification.".
