Amendments to 30 Notifications Notification No. 83/91-Cus. Dated 25-7-1991 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue and Banking, or Department of Revenue, as the case may be, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table - TABLE S. In the said notification, for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 2. 106/77-Customs, dated the 1st July, 1977. In the said notification, for the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "50 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 3. 172/77-Customs, dated the 8th August, 1977. In the Table annexed to the said notification, for the figures and words "55 per cent ad valorem " wherever these occur, the figures and words "65 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 4. 14/79-Customs, dated the 18th January, 1979. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted." 5. 138/79-Customs, dated the 27th June, 1979. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 6. 48/84-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1984. In the said notification, for the words "fifteen per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 7. 224/84-Customs, dated the 23rd August, 1984. In the Table annexed to the said notification, for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem " wherever these occur, the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 11. 109/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in Sl. No. (2), in column (3), for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 12. 112/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, for the figures and words "35% ad valorem ", the figures and words "45 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 13. 118/86-Customs, dated the 17th February, 1986. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in Sl. No. (1), in column (3), for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 14. 154/86-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1986. In the said notification, - (a) the first proviso shall be omitted; (b) in the second proviso, the word "further" shall be omitted; and (c) in the Table, in S. No. (ii), in column (2), for S. No. 21 and the entry relating thereto,  the  entry "Hydraulic Press of 100 tonnes capacity excluding Hydraulic Extrusion  Press" shall be substituted. 15. 390/86-Customs, dated the 29th July, 1986. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 16. 397/86-Customs, dated the 29th July, 1986. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 17. 59/87-Customs, dated, the 1st March, 1987. In the said notification, for the figures and words "35 per the cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 18. 181/87-Customs, dated the 29th April, 1987. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 19. 20/88-Customs, dated 1st March, 1988. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per the cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 20. 22/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in S. No. 9, in column (2), for the entry, the entry "Special machine for frame and fork machining : with or without transfer arrangement with or without electronic control." shall be substituted. 21. 29/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988. In the said notification, for the figures and words "30 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 22. 250/88-Customs, dated the 16th September, 1988. In the said notification, for the Figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 23. 70/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in column (3), for the figures and words "150% ad valorem ", wherever these occur, the figures and words "100 per cent ad valorem " shall respectively be substituted. 24. 98/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989. In the said notification, - (a) for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "25 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted; (b) in the Table, against S. No. 2, in column (2), the letter "D" shall be omitted. 25. 172/89-Customs, dated the 29th May, 1989. In the said notification, for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "40 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted. 26. 97/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990. In the said notification, for the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem ", the figures and words "20 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted. 27. 98/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990. In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (a) S. Nos. 4 and 7 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; (b) In column (4), for the figures and words "35% ad valorem ", wherever these occur, the figures and words "30% ad valorem " shall be substituted. 28. 99/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990. In the Table annexed to the said notification, in column (4), for the figures and words "55% ad valorem ", wherever these occur, the figures and words "65% ad valorem " shall be substituted. 29. 100/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990. Nos. 1 and 2, in column (4), for the figures and words "155% ad valorem ", the figures and words "110% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (b) in S. Nos. 3 to 13, in column (4), for the figures and words "105% ad valorem ", the figures and words "110% ad valorem " shall be substituted. 30. 273/90-Customs, dated the 7th November, 1990. In the said notification, for the figures and words "35 per cent ad valorem " the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem " shall be substituted.
