Auxiliary duty - Amendment to Notification No. 144/90-Cus. Notification No. 172/90-Cus. Dated 16-5-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-clause (4) of clause 62 of the Finance Bill, 1990, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made in the said Finance Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 144/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990, namely, - In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, after S. No. 69 and the entry relating thereto, the following S. No. and entry shall be inserted, namely,- "70. No. 171/90-Customs dated 16th May, 1990."
