Amending certain notifications so as to, inter-alia,- (i) extend the concessional rates of basic duty on components of specified fuel efficient motor vehicles by one more year, and (ii) prescribe a basic duty of 80% on spares of certain motor vehicles Notification No. 125/90-Cus. Dated 20-3-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted; (ii) in the Table, S. Nos. 14 and 16 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; (iii) in paragraph 4 for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted. 4. 268/84-Customs, dated the 30th October, 1984. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 3, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted. 5. 74/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 percent", the figures "50%" shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 3, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted. 6. 75/85-Customs, dated the 17th March, 1985. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 3, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted. 7. 348/85-Customs, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25% per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted. 8. 350/85-Customs, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted. 9. 351/85-Custmos, dated the 5th December, 1985. In the Table to the said notification, S. Nos. 5, 6 and 10 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 10. 502/86-Customs, dated the 24th December, 1986. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "25 per cent", the figures "30%" shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 4, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted. 11. 503/86-Customs, dated the 24th December, 1986. In the said notification, in paragraph 4 for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991", shall be substituted. 13. 32/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988. In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, for the figures and words "45 per cent", the figures "55%" shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1990", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1991" shall be substituted.
