Amendment to Notification No. 63/88-Cus. [G.E. No. 104A] Notification No. 156/89-Cus. Dated 5-5-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 63/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely, - In the said notification, - (i) in the opening paragraph, for the words "when imported into India, by any hospital", the words "when imported into India for use in any hospital" shall be substituted; (ii) in condition (i), for the words "the hospital", the words "the importer" shall be substituted; and (iii) for condition (ii) the following condition shall be substituted, namely :- "the head of the hospital certifies in each case that the hospital equipments are meant for the use in the hospital and are not being manufactured in India and are essential for running or maintenance of a hospital."
