Amendment to Notification No. 317/87-Cus. [G.E. No. 186] Notification No. 155/89-Cus. Dated 1-5-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 317/87-Customs, dated the 17th September, 1987, namely : - In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against Sl. No. (vi), in column (2), after item 34 and the entry relating thereto, the following items and entries shall be inserted, namely : - "35. Automatic Guaging/sizing for Cylindrical Grinders. 36. Equipment for physical and chemical Vapor Deposi tion/Coating of hard materials on cutting tools. 37. Iso Static Press for Powder Metallurgy/Moulding of Grinding materials. 38. Electronic Profile measuring and recording systems. 39. Coniometer. 40. Optical comparator. 41. Piezo Electric Cutting Tool Force Measuring instruments. 42. Universal Measuring Microscope. 43. Pitch Tester for Gear Shaping Cutters. 44. High Speed Dry Disperser for Bond Blending with Impeller Speed 300 RPM and above for the manufacture of Grinding wheels. 45. Mixers for preparing mix for vitrified bonded wheels with speed 30 RPM and above. 46. Two in one Mixer provided with in built Sifter for preparing mix for Resin bonded grinding wheels. 47. CNC Abrasive finishing lathes for finishing grinding wheels. 48. Side dressing machine for finishing of grinding wheels. 49. Vertical Grinding machine for periphery finishing of grinding wheels. 50. Universal thread grinding machine maximum grinding diameter 260 mm and maximum grinding length 1,000 mm. 51. Automatic teeth setting machine for Hacksaw and Bendsaw. 52. High Pressure Hydrogen Compressor for pressure above 10 atm. required by Tungsten Carbide manufacturers. 53. Insert periphery grinding machine with working accuracy of + - 0.0005 mm, programmable for different profiles on the inserts. 54. Extrusion presses for forming green compacts. 55. Automatic Hydraulic Presses with Shutting device for hard metal powder compacting/bonded abrasive manufacturers. 56. Plasma spreading equipment for coating Zirconia. 57. Profile grinding machine for spiral and hypoid gear cutter/blades/Gear shaping cutters. 58. Continuous coated products Electroc static depositing machine. 59. Automatic straight tooth bevel gear/hypoid gear cutter sharpening machine. 60. Skiving, Scuffing, pointing and Glueing machine for coated belts. 61. Coated belt flexing machine."; (ii) after Sl. Profile projector with coordinate table 200 x 160 mm and above with accuracy 5 micron and better. 13. Relieving Lathe. 14. Super Finishing machine capable of achieving 0.05 RA to 0.1 RA Surface Finishing (other than attach ments). 15. Thermal Deburring machine. 16. Camshaft lapping/super finishing machine. 17. Vertical Spindle surface-Grinder Table Traverse 3m and above. 18. Welding Robots. 19. Gear Profile/Helix tester. 20. Automatic noise/vibration tester. 21. Roundness testing machine. 22. Electronic Sand Testing Equipment. 26. Equipments for analysing gases like oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen. 27. On line radiographic equipment. 28. (i) Portable Hardness tester (ii) Combined ring in Rockwall, Brinnel and Vickers Hardness Tester capable of measu- scale. 29. Testing systems for conduits and electronic cords. 30. Yarn Tensile Metre with measuring range of 250 gms. (iii) In the Explanation item (7) shall be omitted.
