Amendment to Notification No. 116/88-Cus. [G.E. No. 147] Notification No. 144/89-Cus. Dated 21-4-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 116/88-Customs [G.S.R. No. 406(E)], dated the 30th March, 1988, namely :- In the said notification, — (i) in the opening portion, for the words "or for transfer to another Advance Licence Holder", the words "or for transfer to another Advance Licence Holder or Pass Book Holder" shall be substituted; (ii) in conditions (e) and (g), for the words "Advance Licence Holder", wherever they occur, the words "Advance Licence Holder or Pass Book Holder" shall be substituted.
