Amendment to Notification No. 127/82-Cus [G.E. No. 168] Notification No. 131/89-Cus. Dated 28-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 127/82-Customs, dated the 1st May, 1982, namely :- In the said notification, - (i) in the opening paragraph, after the existing proviso the following further proviso shall be inserted, namely :- "Provided further that the importer also certifies in each case that no foreign exchange remittance is made for the import of the said goods; and (ii) in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1989", figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1994" shall be substituted.
