Effective rates of basic duty on goods falling under Chapter 15 Notification No. 121/89-Cus. Dated 9-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989, namely :- In the said notification, in the Table, - (i) S. Nos. 47 and 48 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; and (ii) against S. Nos. 49 and 50 for the entry in column (4), the entry "60% ad valorem" shall be substituted.
