Amends Notification No. 59/89-Cus. so as to add 35 new items Notification No. 94/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Depanment of Revenue) No. 59/88-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1988, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (a) S. No. (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be substituted, namely:- "(ii) Satellite Communication equipments, namely, - 1. High Power Amplifiers. 2. Low Noise Amplifiers. 3. Ground Communication equipment. 4. Single Channel per carrier Communication equipment. 5. Single Channel per carrier Communication equipment with DAMA capability. 6. Up/Down converters. 7. Antenna systems. 8. Emergency Communication Teminals. 9. Master Earth Stations with SSMA equipment. 10. Micro Earth Stations with SSMA equipment. 11. TDMA/DSI equipment. 12. De-icing equipment. 13. Fly away satellite earth stations. 14. Television receive only terminals/Direct reception sets. 15. Radio networking terminals."; b) in S. No. (vii),- (A) for item 12, the following item shall be substituted, namely :- "12. TV/Radio coverage mobile vans without chassis/ vehicular parts."; (B) for item 13, the following item shall be substituted, namely :- 13. Frame Synchronisers."; (C) after item 44, the following items shall be inserted, namely :- "45. Slide Scanners. 46. Professional Compact disc players. 47. Programme amplifiers."; (c) after S. No. (viii) and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :- "(ix) Other equipments, namely, - 1. Stabilised light source (for optical communication). 2. RF Milli voltmeters. 15. Spectrum analyser. 16. Psophometer. 17. RF Noise figure meter/RF Noise sources. 18. Microwave Link Analyser Test set up. 19. Network analysers. 20. Microwave sweep Generators. 21. Synethised Signal Sources. 22. Video Signal Generator. 23. Video Signal Analyser. 24. Colour gain and delay test set. 25. Different gain and differential measuring set".
