Amends Notification No. 346/86-Cus. relating to piece parts for electronics industry Notification No. 85/89-Cus. Dated 1-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 346/86-Customs, dated the 16th June 1986, namely :- In the said notification, - (a) In the opening paragraph for the words "forty-five per cent ad valorem ", the words and figures "55% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (b) In the Table,- (i) against S. No. 2, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Light emitting diodes, lamps and displays, Hybrid Micro Circuits" shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 4, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Semiconductor devices, Liquid crystal displays, Hybrid Micro Circuits" shall be substituted; (iii) against S. No. 14, in column (4), for the words "Printed components", the words 'Printed components; Electron guns and electron gun parts" shall be substituted; (iv) against S. No. 28, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Relays, Switches, Printed Circuit Boards" shall be substituted; (v) against S. No. 33, in column (4), for the words "Relays, Switches", the words "Relays, Switches, Printed Circuit Boards" shallbe substituted; (vi) against S. No. 34, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Connectors, Semiconductor devices, Hybrid Micro Circuits" shall be substituted; (vii) against S. No. 35, in column (3) for item (iii) and entry relating thereto, the following item and entry shallbe substituted, namely :- "(iii) Diodes, transistors and integrated circuits SO packages"; (viii) against S. No. 43, for the entry in column (3), the following entry shall be substituted, namely :- "Rayon or Silk cover Litz wire in the following sizes, namely :- (i) 24 (strands) x 0.03 mm (diameter of each strand) (ii) 12 (strands) x 0.03 mm (diameter of each strand) (iii) 9 (strands) x 0.04 mm (diameter of each strand) (iv) 6 (strands) x 0.04 mm (diameter of each strand) (v) 8 (strands) x 0.03 mm (diameter of each strand) (vi) 6 (strands) x 0.03 mm (diameter of each strand)"; (ix) after S. No. 44 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.
